3 way River near Ningbo CBD
Straight out of my holiday in KL, I went to Ningbo to do a meet and greet with JK's corresponding offices. Though my stay was short, it was a good experience.
Ningbo has a population of 4 million, (the same number as the entire NZ population!) And the locals here call it a "small" city. There isn't much cultural history in this place as its economic growth and oppurtunities were the driving forces to its present state (does hurt as well that it is only 2.5 hours from Hangzhou, the richest city in China) There were lots of constructions going on everywhere! And I can't say it helps the air quality.
When I arrived into Ningbo CBD to witness the the Central Square musical water fountain. It was a pretty cool welcom too. The water level even reached 40 meters tall! The fountain was situated around these huge departmental stores. And the stores around the fountain had lights which lights up to syncronise with the music every day at 7.30pm.
My colleagues were kind enough to take me to some of their local eat outs. So I had 2 opportunities to have their local cuisine of raw crab ( ) and drunken snails If one was not careful, I think you can easily get tipsy from those snails
